Deactivate Coding; Waiting Periods - Grundig WKC 1705 RDS Manual

If you enter an incorrect code number;
in the display: "SAFE ".
After approx. 3 seconds:
the radio does not play!
Begin again. Note the "waiting periods"
between attempts.

Deactivate coding

e.g. before removing the car radio:
1. The radio is playing.

Press button until "SAFE " appears in
FM
the display.
After approx. 3 seconds in the display:
" – – – – "
2. Enter code no. (see identity card):
(see example "activate coding")
Press " – " buttons repeatedly until

the code no. appears in the display, e.g.
"1703 "
3. Confirm the code no.:
Press " button until "CODE " appears in
FM
the display.
After approx. 3 seconds:
the radio plays!
The coding is deactivated!
If you enter an incorrect code no.;
in the display: "SAFE " .
After approx. 3 seconds:
the radio does not play!
Begin again.
Note the "waiting periods" between
attempts.

Waiting periods

Waiting periods are required between
activation attempts so that "return to
operation" is not possible by trial and error.
During these waiting periods the car radio
input function is locked for all entries.
The car radio must be switched on during
these waiting periods:
"SAFE " in the display.
