How to connect your mobile phone via bluetooth® using the pairing feature of the mercedes-benz hands-free system

Instructions on how to connect your mobile phone via Bluetooth® using the

pairing feature of the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system.

(All examples shown are using the Comand system)

Please follow the steps below to connect your mobile phone (Samsung SGH-T769 Galaxy S Blaze 4G) with

the mobile phone application of your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system using Bluetooth®.

For a connection between your mobile phone and your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system to be

successful Bluetooth® must be turned on in your mobile phone and the mobile must be set to visible.

Please make sure to also read the operating and pairing instructions of the mobile phone.

Step 1 (to be performed on your Samsung SGH-T769 Galaxy S Blaze 4G)

From the main screen of your mobile phone,

1. Push the "Menu" button and select "Settings"

2. Select the option "Wireless & networks"

3. Select the option "Bluetooth settings"

4. Select the option "Bluetooth", to turn on Bluetooth®

5. Activate the option "Discoverable" or "Visible", to discover the device for 120 seconds

Please note that your mobile phone will be visible now for 120 seconds. During this time the pairing

process must be started on the Mercedes-Benz hands-free system.

Step 2

To get to the telephone screen of your Mercedes-Benz

hands-free system press the "TEL" key on the radio or select

Phone.

Step 3

Select the "Phone" application located in the lower left corner.

Page 2 Step 4 Select "Bluetooth Phones" from the list. Step 5 Select the "Update" function. Step 6 The system will now search for any Bluetooth® compatible phones. This may take some time depending on how many devices are found by the system. Step 7 Once the system completes searching select your mobile phone (example "My phone") from the list.
Page 3 4 digit passcode (password) is used. Select "Ok" to confirm. Step 9 (to be performed on your Samsung SGH-T769 Galaxy S Blaze 4G) 1. "Bluetooth® pairing request / Type PIN to pair with MB Bluetooth" will be shown on your mobile phone.
Page 4 Step 11 After your mobile phone is successfully connected via Bluetooth® to your Mercedes-Benz hands-free system the name and show the actual status of your mobile (example "My Phone") phone will be displayed. Page 4 of 4...
