Highlight "Rho" in the Functions subwindow at left, and check "Rho ON" in the State
field. Check either "Cell" or "PCS" in the Band field. Under Radio Configuration, choose
the desired configuration. (Note: C2K is an abbreviation for IS2000.) When you have
completed all the necessary information, click the Execute button.

Turning on AMPS Transmitter

Eventually, the method will be to use the "RF Main Mode" window, choosing "AMPS" in
the Band field. However, a current software problem exists with this method with the
result that once the AMPS transmitter is turned on in this manner, it does not respond
correctly to AGC PDM adjustment.
As a temporary solution, the "AMPS Control" dialog box, shown here, can be used.
Select the desired channel and power level, and check "Transmitter ON". Click the Exe-
cute button.
Note: The reason why this is a temporary solution is because, in some instances, the AFC and AGC
are not disabled. The result is that the signal will not be stable in frequency and will not respond to
AGC PDM adjustment. If this is the case, manually disable the AFC and AGC using the "DSP Mem-
ory Tool" dialog box, shown here.
