Flueing guidelines

Combustion air provided to the system should not be taken from any area that may produce a
negative pressure (i.e exhaust fans, powered ventilation fans etc.). Room combustion air requires
compliant louvres in a plant room door or wall, refer AS/NZS 5601.1:2013 for more information.
For appliance and user safety NEVER use Rinnai flue components with other manufacturer's water
heaters.

UV protection
Where appropriate, all components must be protected from UV. The horizontal terminals are UV
resistant. The vertical terminals are supplied with a stainless outer for UV protection. Anything else
exposed to UV should be painted with a system suitable for polypropylene.
