    Be connected to a good earth ground at the power supply end Note Installation of the transient protection terminal block does not provide transient protection unless the Rosemount 2088 case is properly grounded. Note Do not connect the powered signal wiring to the test terminals. Power could damage the test diode in the test connection.

Note Transmitter output is not safety-rated during the following: configuration changes, multidrop, loop test. Alternative means should be used to ensure process safety during transmitter configuration and maintenance activities.
