Refer to the diagram below to identify the components on the front side of the Notebook PC.

Display Panel Latch
One spring-loaded latch on the front of the Notebook PC locks the display panel in the closed position
when the Notebook PC is not in use. To open the display panel, slide and release the latch with your
thumb and lift up the display panel with the same thumb. Slowly tilt the display panel forward or
backward to a comfortable viewing angle.
CD Player Power Switch
While the Notebook PC is turned OFF, use the switch to turn the CD Player ON or OFF without powering
on the Notebook PC.
CD Player Control Buttons
The CD Player buttons allow you to control CD playing as you would on a standard portable CD player.
The CD Player feature can be operated without turning ON the Notebook PC. When the Notebook PC is
turned ON, the CD Player buttons control the Microsoft
