Introduction The purpose of this document is to provide helpful instructions about designing and building a cabinet to house the Memor 1 3-Slot Cradles. The first part of the document gives information useful to build the best dispenser layout, according to the retail environment needs.
Dispenser Design Guidelines Functional Areas The Memor 1 is also suitable for an effective communication inside the retail environment, thanks to the high quality of its display. For this reason, it is important to design the arrangement of the device in a dispenser to bring out the performances without compromising the functionality.
Dispenser Design Guidelines Base Unit Configuration The preceding paragraphs provided some general rules on building a base unit, taking into account the space required for the cabinet, the density and the display visibility. Every retail environment has different and specific needs and constraints: some may need a tall base (but not deep or large), some may need a short base but can accept larger and bulkier sizes.

Dispenser Design Guidelines To guarantee full stability, the cabinet must be anchored to Anchoring and Maintenance the wall or to the floor. (see Issues on page 38 NOTE The front door dispenser must have a jamb of 20 cm, to allow the front door to open.

Dispenser Design Guidelines Shopper Unit Placing and Unity Definition In case of installation where two or more shopper units share the same dispensing furniture, a physical boundary must be placed to indicate the dispensing areas related to each Shopper Unit. The purpose of this boundary is to prevent the swapping of the devices when two customers ask for a device at the same time from different Shopper Unit.
In this section, instructions are given to correctly build a Dispenser Base Unit. The same instructions can be used to build Base Units containing a different number of Memor 1 3-Slot Cradles. Memor 1 3-Slot Cradle Installation The following figures show the minimum footprint needed to insert...

Dispenser Construction Details Anchoring and Maintenance Issues The front door cabinet must be firmly anchored to the wall in at least two points, since the footprint is small and therefore not sufficient to guarantee full stability. It is preferable for the cabinet to have a removable back panel for easy access inside when performing cabling or for technical inspection or extraordinary maintenance.
Power Supply The Memor 1 3-Slot Cradle Power Supply (P/N 91ACC0048) is available as optional accessory to power the Memor 1 3-Slot Cradle. This single phase AC input, single output switching power supply can provide for a 12V/ 6A, 72W Max. DC output with constant voltage source.

Dispenser Construction Details Maintenance Cleaning Periodically clean the Memor 1 3-Slot Cradle using a soft cloth slightly dampened with only water or Isopropyl Alcohol (70%). Do not use any other cleaning agents (e.g. different alcohol, abrasive or corrosive products, solvents) or abrasive pads to clean the cradle.
It must be made of material complying with the Safety Rules. • The requirements for air passages to cool both the Memor 1 cradles and the power supply must be adhered to in order to avoid overheating problems for the components inside the cabinet.
