6. Troubleshooting

6-1 Checkpoints by Error Mode

■ Power LED: Check that the LED works when turning the Master Switch ON/OFF
■ LED Indicators: See table 6-2-1 Basic Troubleshooting: LED Diagnosis on the Front Panel.
■ In case of a power failure or abnormal screen, check the following items.
1) Check that the power cord is correctly connected to a 220V wall outlet.
2) Check that the Master Switch has been pressed.
3) Check that the transmitter is turned on.
4) Check that transmitter device selection is set to TV.
5) Check that the signal cable is properly connected.
6) Check that channel setting has been set.
6-1-1 Basic Approaches for Troubleshooting
■ Troubleshooting Mechanism :
- 6-1 Check if the display operates properly using the troubleshooting procedures.
- When the MASTER switch is turned on, the secondary side of the power transformer supplies power for the Deflection/F-BOX.
- The F-BOX receives all signals. Processed signals are sent to CRT Ass'y. Deflection/Focus is controlled by the MAIN Board.
■ Troubleshooting by Modules
1) Check if the secondary side of the main power is out of order.
Check if the screen is turned on when the Master switch is ON and the Picture is ON, or if power is supplied by the stand-by
circuit and Micom on the MAIN Board when turning the switches on or off.
(See the circuit diagrams on page 10-1 and 10-4 of the Service Manual).
2) Check if the Deflection Block is out of order.
Check if the Deflection Block is out of order when the left and right sides of the screen curl up, or the height of the screen is
extended or shrunk.
(See the circuit diagrams on page 10-2 of the Service Manual).
3) Check if the F-box Block is out of order
Check if the F-box Block is out of order when the audio and video operation of the product is abnormal.
(See the circuit diagrams on page 10-5 ~ 10-9 of the Service Manual).
