DESCRIPTION:
This MMC is consist of two groups of items. One group is for the "TRUNK" ports as set in MMC423,
and the other is for the "STATION" ports.
NOTE:
For each BRI access, two adjacent ports are assigned, you only have to change the value for any one
of the two ports from a BRI access, then the value for the other port will be changed automatically.
For those ports programmed as "TRUNK" in MMC423, display shows "BRI-TRK". And the items are
MODE, CHANNEL ANY and DIALSND.
• MODE
P-P NOR: When BRI line is point-to-point configuration, and didn't subscribe into the DDI
supplementary service. Incoming calls are placed as set in MMC406 "TRK RING".
P-P DDI: When BRI line is point-to-point configuration, and subscribed into the DID
supplementary service. Incoming calls are placed as set in MMC714 "DDI Table". All
incoming calls through DDI trunk, ISDN or Analog, will be placed according to the
setting of DDI table.
P-M NOR: When BRI line is point-to-multipoint configuration, and didn't subscribe into the
MSN supplementary service. Incoming calls are placed as set in MMC406 "TRK
RING".
P-M MSN: When BRI line is point-to-multipoint configuration, and subscribed into the MSN
supplementary service. DCS system can manage upto 8 MSN numbers for each
MSN BRI access. Incoming calls throug P-MP MSN ports are handled as set in
MMC421 "MSN DIGIT". This table is effective only for one BRI access.
• CHANNEL ANY
This field can be set to YES or NO. This field is referenced when a user tries outgoing call
while that port is busy.
If CHANNEL ANY is NO, user will hear busy tone.
If CHANNEL ANY is YES, the system will check if adjacent port(another B channel in the
same BRI access) is free. If the adjacent port is free, the user can call through that port.
Otherwise, then, user will hear busy tone.
• DLSEND
This field is provided to set the dial sending mode to "enbloc" or "overlap" on an individual
port basis.
NOTE:
Any changes to MODE option is effective only after restart of the BRI Card. Use MMC 418 to restart
the card.
Compared to old S/W, DLRCV option is removed. This is because that in the new code, if sending
complete is not included in incomming SETUP message, DCS will wait for additional digits to come
automatically.
For those ports programmed as "STATION" in MMC423, display shows "BRI-STN". And the items
are CHANNEL ANY and POWER FEED.
