CONDENSATE DRAIN PUMP

Cooling mode
Condensate water is collected in a tray. When the water level rises (L1) a microswitch (A) connected to the float will light the
pump and condensate water will be evacuate to the outdoor unit (condenser).
Pump is automatically switched off by the microswitch float when water level decrease into the tray.
Dehumidification mode
During operation in dehumidification, the drain pump is disconnected. When condensate water level raises into the tray and the
overflow point (L2) is reached, it is collected in another part of the tray and will be drained in the unit water tank.
The compressor is stopped by the full water tank microswitch.
In certain applications a floor drain may be provided and it may be easier to use the drain tube to remove the condensate water (B).

Electrical circuit
In series to the pump is placed a rectifier diode and a
thermic overload protection (PTC) that have the following
functions:
1) The diode permits an increase in the solenoid pump flow.
2) The PTC interrupts the operation of condensate drain
pump when a malfunction of it may occur, avoiding short
circuit and plastic overheat. In this case condensate
water is drained directly to the water tank after overflow
level is reached.
