Adjusting Buckle Position

The buckle has two positions
and should be adjusted to fit
your child (Fig. A).
IMPORTANT: Do not use position
two (2) until child exceeds 50 lbs!

Turn child seat on its side.

Locate the metal buckle strap
retainer on bottom of the seat
(Fig. B).

Pull retainer away from child
seat to loosen.

Turn the retainer so that the
short side will go through the
slot in the seat shell (Fig. C).

Push the retainer through the
slots in the shell and cover to the
front of the seat.

Locate the necessary buckle
slot (Fig. A).

Turn the buckle retainer so
that the short side will go
through the slot in the cover and
seat shell (Fig. C).

Pull buckle away from seat until
tight, then verify that the release
button is facing outward and the
strap is not twisted (Fig. D).

REMOVING THE HARNESS

Fasten buckle and chest clip for
easier handling.

Loosen harness: with one
hand, press and hold down the
harness adjuster tab, then pull
the shoulder harness forward
with the other hand.

Turn child seat on its side.

Locate the metal harness
retainers on the lower end of
each harness strap on the bot-
tom of the child seat (Fig. E).

Unclip the elastic from the
plastic clip.

Pull each harness retainer
away from child seat to loosen.

Turn each harness retainer so
that the short side will go
through the slot in the seat shell
(Fig. C).
8
Push each retainer through the
slot in the shell and cover to the
front of seat.
9
Remove straps from yoke, then
pull straps through to the front of
seat (Fig. F).
