  • Page 8 Intelligent Software Detects Collision or Motion Whether you are inside or outside of your vehicle, our intelligent collision software senses if the vehicle has been bumped or hit and starts recording the incident. The recorded collision video is saved and locked on the camera. Intelligent motion detection software detects movement in the environment around and starts recording.

    4. Installing Micro SD Card Before installing the 32GB micro SD card, confirm the device is turned off. Insert included micro SD card into slot until it clicks into place. To remove micro SD card, press down slightly then remove micro SD card from the slot. WARNING: Do not apply excessive force when inserting a memory card to avoid damage to the device.

    5. Mounting SYLVANIA Roadsight Mirror Dash Camera The SYLVANIA Roadsight Mirror mounts over your OEM rear view mirror. Use the Adjustable Dash Camera Position Slide to extend dash camera fully out. Making sure the dash camera does not interfere with the OEM rear view mirror during install.
  • Page 16 Softly place the SYLVANIA Roadsight Mirror Dash Camera onto the front of your OEM rear view mirror and use the 2 Rubber Mounting Straps to hold it in place. To power the device and charge the battery, only use the included Mini USB Power Cable. Connect the Mini USB Power Cable to the top of the mirror dash camera.

    7. Wiring Back Up Camera - Option 1 Connect Rear Camera Aux Power Cable to the top of the SYLVANIA Roadsight Mirror dash camera to power the rear camera. Using the included trim removal tool, to tuck rear camera wire to the back of your vehicle. Removing A Pilar to tuck wire inside is optional.
  • Page 20 Leave red cable disconnected as it is not required. With this option you will need to swipe the display screen from left to right to toggle to back up view. Guidance lines will not be available with this setup option. Travel the road with assurance.
  • Page 21 8. Wiring Back Up Camera - Option 2 Connect Rear Camera Aux Power Cable to the top of the SYLVANIA Roadsight Mirror dash camera to power the rear camera. Using the included trim removal tool, to tuck rear camera wire to the back of your vehicle. Removing A Pilar to tuck wire inside is optional.
  • Page 22 ATTENTION: • Make sure your vehicle and vehicle lighting is off before proceeding. NOT INCLUDED: • It is recommended to use a multimeter (A) to find positive and negative wires. • Detach battery terminal connectors to avoid electrical shock. • Determine the proper splice wire connectors to use for the gauge wire you will be splicing into.
  • Page 23 To enable automatic display switching from forward view camera to rear view camera, you will need to splice the red wire on the rear camera power cable into your positive wire of your vehicle back up lights. Determine the reverse light power wires for your vehicle.
  • Page 24 Once you have determined which wire is the positive wire, use a splice connector to connect your red wire. Turn vehicle on to power up the SYLVANIA Roadsight Mirror dash camera. Put the vehicle in reverse to check rear camera has been installed correctly.

    10. Toggle Camera Display From LED Display to Traditional Mirror Press the power button to toggle between the LED display and the standard mirror function. When the display is on, you can toggle between 3 display screens: Forward dash camera field of view Rear camera back field of view (Option 1 wiring) Rear camera with guidance lines (Option 2 wiring) Travel the road with assurance.

    12. Dash Camera Viewing Angle Adjusting the viewing angle can only be done along the vertical axis, so be sure to position the device correctly on the windshield along the horizontal axis as close as possible to the windshield’s center. While pulling or pushing the device in the holder, ensure that the camera captures the image in proportions of 30% sky / 70% road.

    19. Updating Firmware SYLVANIA Roadsight Mirror software can be updated. Check regularly for firmware updates to keep camera in best working condition. www.sylvania- Download the firmware file at automotive.com/firmware and extract the file from the archive. Format the memory card and transfer the extracted file to the micro SD memory card.
