Playback

The following procedure shows how to play a disc, such as a CD, VCD or DVD, from the beginning.
When playing a VCD with P.B.C. (Play-Back Control) capability, please read "Menu playback".
Preparation
Press the POWER key to ON.
Main unit

Playing a disc from the beginning

Turn power ON.
When using the system connections:
1 Turn on the AV CONTROL CENTER (sold separately) or
the receiver (sold separately).
÷ Read also the instruction manual supplied with the AV CONTROL
CENTER (sold separately) or the receiver (sold separately).
2 Switch to DVD operation.
÷ Playback will start if a disc is already loaded.

Insert (Remove) the disc.

1 Open the tray.

2 Insert (Remove) the disc.
3 Close the tray.

With certain discs, playback starts now.
If a menu screen appears on the TV screen, select the
desired items as described in steps 4 and 5 before
playing the disc.

Start playback.

÷ Place the disc to be played properly by aligning it with the groove on the
tray. (If the disc is not placed horizontally, malfunction will result.)
÷ Do not touch the played side.
÷ Load only one disc.
÷ This unit cannot use a commercially available CD single (8 cm) disc
adapter.
