Intelligent Access with Push-button Start

• Eliminates fumbling with the key — allowing
customers to enter the vehicle with one touch and
then start the vehicle without ever getting the key
out of their pocket
• System senses when the Intelligent Access key fob is
in range of the door and allows access to the vehicle
when either front door handle is grabbed
• To lock the doors, press the lock area (black button)
on either front door handle
• Intelligent Access key fob is programmed to a specific
vehicle and can be kept in a pocket, purse or briefcase
• Liftgate can be opened — without using the key — by
depressing the switch located in the pull cup below
the license plate when the Intelligent Access key fob
is in range
• Key fob includes a removable mechanical key, allowing
access to vehicle if the key fob battery is dead
• Smart unlock feature is intended to prevent the
Intelligent Access key fob from being locked inside
the vehicle
– If the doors are locked and the Intelligent
Access key fob is sensed inside the passenger
compartment or trunk, the doors will be
immediately unlocked and the horn will chirp to
notify the driver
– Intelligent Access key fob can be intentionally
locked inside the vehicle via the SecuriCode
Keyless Entry Keypad or by using the second
Intelligent Access key fob
Starting the vehicle
• Once the Intelligent Access key fob is sensed,
the vehicle can be started by pressing the brake
pedal and pressing
the ENGINE START/
STOP button on the
instrument panel
• If there is signal
interference or a low
battery condition, place
the Intelligent Access
key fob near the backup
location on the steering
column and the vehicle
can be started

Remote Start Range
When discussing the Remote Start feature with

Some examples include: structures around where
the vehicle is parked, extreme weather conditions,
vehicles parked nearby, or even the house or building
the customer is in when using their Remote Start.
