BEFORE CUTTING:

1. The person whose hair is being cut must
sit so that their head is at eye level with the
person doing the cutting. This offers the best
view.
2. Always comb the hair before cutting so that
it is not tangled.
3. Place a towel around the neck of the person
having their hair cut.
A FEW TIPS
1. Cut the hair in a calm and steady manner,
using short strokes.
2. Only cut a little hair at a time – you can
always cut off more later.
3. Comb the hair frequently as you cut.
4. When cutting hair using this trimmer, it is
better for hair to be dry than wet.
Dry hair makes it easier to control how much
hair is being cut off.
5. Cutting hair requires practice, so it is better
to leave the hair slightly longer than you
want the first few times, until you get used to
using the trimmers. When you feel that you
can control them confidently, cut it to the
desired length.

1. To attach a guide comb, affix it firmly to the
holders at the side of the trimmers.
2. For an even cut, let the trimmer do the work
– don't force it through the hair. Remember
to comb the hair at regular intervals to
remove loose hair, and to see if there are any
uneven sections.
HOW TO CUT HAIR:
Step 1 – lower neck:
1. Attach 3 mm or 6 mm guide comb
2. Hold the trimmer with the blade/cutter
turned upwards, and start at the middle of
the head at the nape of the neck.
3. Hold the trimmer so that it feels comfortable
in your hand, and keep it steady against
the head, with the teeth pointing upwards.
Lift the trimmer at small intervals, so that
it works its way upwards and outwards,
through the hair, cutting a little at a time.
4. As you cut, lift the head of the trimmer back
towards yourself at small intervals. Continue
cutting the hair on the neck, from the base
of the hairline to the top of the ears.
Step 2 – the back of the head
1. Change to one of the longer guide combs
and trim the rest of the neck area.
