    Changing the opening direction of the door (freezer compartment) Having changed the opening direction of the appliance door, it is advisable to also change the opening direction of the freezer compartment door. To do this, proceed as follows: Unscrew the two fixing screws to remove the lower hinge from the door (Fig.

    Fitting a decorative door panel Important: The components needed to fit the decorative panel have been pre-fitted on the appliance. The brackets are secured to the panel by means of the 7 Ø 3.5x13 screws supplied. Before starting to fit the panel, remove the large top bracket by unscrewing the screws and adjusting pins pre-fitted on the appliance door.

    Fresh food refrigeration To obtain the best performance, do not store warm food or evaporating liquids in the refrigerator; do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a strong flavour. Do not cover the shelves with any protective material, such as paper, cardboard or plastic, which may obstruct the air circulation through them.

    During everyday use a fridge door is opened many times and as a result temperature fluctuation may occur. A Zanussi fridge is designed to cope with any changes in temperature but under certain conditions the temperature guide in the appliance may show TOO WARM.

    Defrosting The refrigerator compartment evaporator is automatically defrosted every time the compressor stops. The water drains out through a channel (Fig. 20) into a bowl located at the base of the back of the appliance, where it evaporates.
