Preparing for use
Caution - always use protective gloves when handling the chain.
C hain O iling
You must dn this whenever you use a new chain tor the first time
Take the new chain out of its plastic bag and soak it in chain oil for
at least an hour before you use it
Use Black & Decker chain oil (1 0 9 1 ) or any chain oil with this
Assembly
1 Check that the chamsaw is
disconnected from the mains
2. Stand the chainsaw on its side like
this on a bench or table
Check that the clamp bar and clamp
plate are clean Put the clamp plate,
clamp nut, and spanner supplied on
the bench where you can reach them.
Fit the saw chain over the guide bar
m aking sure that the chain is the
right w ay round.
