1.1.1 Power-On Password and Keyboard Password
System access can be denied by using a power-on password or keyboard
password.
To service a system with an active and unknown password,
power-off the system and do the following.
1.
Remove the battery pack and the bottom cover (see "1010
in topic 6.1).
2.
Identify the password-override connector on the system board (see
"System Board" on page 7.5).
3.
Install a jumper over the pins at position 1.

To cancel the password, power-on the system and leave it until the
POST ends.
5.
Power-off the system and remove the jumper.
6.
Reinstall the bottom cover and the battery pack.

To reactivate the password, you must start the system, select the Set
features option from the Main Menu, then select Set password and
unattended start mode and follow the instructions.
