INSTRUMENT AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS Main switch The main switch controls the ignition and lighting systems. The various main switch positions are described below. All electrical circuits are supplied with power, and the meter lighting, taillight, license plate light and position lights come on, and the engine can be start- ed.

Light switch (for optional lights) “ ” This model can be equipped with op- tional lights available at a Yamaha dealer. Push this switch to the left to turn the optional lights on and to the right to turn them off.
