Connect an appropriate cable from this header to a motherboard to provide an out-of-band (sideband) connection between the onboard Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) and a Network Interface Controller (NIC) for remote management.

Remove the power cord from the wall socket. 3. Use industry-standard anti-static equipment (such as gloves or wrist strap) and follow the instructions listed on page 3-1 to avoid damage caused by ESD.
