1.
Connect a hose (d) to the outlet fitting (1) and
fasten it with a clamp or wire (a).
Only flexible hoses made of rubber or plastic and
having internal diameter of 18mm (VP-300; VP-600)
and 22mm (VP-280) are to be used for connecting
to the pump.
Using hoses of the lesser diameters will impose
an additional load for the pump.
Using hoses of the greater diameters will not
affect operation of the pump.
In case flexible hoses are not readily available,
use of steel or plastic pipes is admissible. Connecting
the pump to the piping must only be carried out
through a flexible hose at least 2 meters long .
2. Fasten a rope (b) to the pump through the two
carrying holes (2). The rope-fixing knot must be
positioned no closer than 10 cm from the pump

bucket inlets to avoid it being sucked into the pump.
The rope ends must be sealed by burning (Caprone
rope it is suggested).
To extend a rope (b), a similar rope of at least
5-meter long must be used which ought to be strong
enough to hold a fivefold weight of the pump and
the water-filled hose .
You may also use a steel wire cable or steel wire
and connect them only through a minimum 5-meter
caprone rope fixed to the pump. Fastening a wire
or steel wire cable directly to the carrying holes (2)
will result in their immediate breaking-off. If you
need to place a pump in shallow pits or wells, with
a rope length less than 5 meters, the rope must be
fastened to the crossbar (f ) via a spring suspender
(e) because the pump should be let to vibrate freely.
A rigid fixing will eventually lead to the pump
breakdown . To make a spring suspender you may
make use of soft rubber bands which can withstand
the adequate load.
3. The power cord (6) and caprone rope (b) must be
tied together in bunch with an adhesive insulation
tape or any other means (c) (excluding wire) at
the intervals of 1 - 2 meters. The first fixing point
(c) must be made at a 20-30 cm distance from the
pump body.
4 . When you switch off a pump installed in a well or
pit , where the distance up to the water level is less
than 5 meters, the water freely drains from the hose
(d) by gravity.
At greater depths, under a pressure from
the water column, the pump's flap shuts off the
inlets and the water would not drain and this may
possibly result in water freezing inside the hose in
wintertime.
If there is no possibility to protect the hose from
winter frost, then to ensure water draining from
the hose in winter you need to make a 1,5 - 2 mm
diameter hole in the hose near outlet fitting (1).
5. Plunge the pump into the water making sure the
power cord (6) is not getting tight and then fasten
the rope (b) over the crossbar (f ) or other holding
device.

Switching on and off

Before connecting the device to the electric power
supply, make sure that the main supply voltage
is 230V/50Hz and being suitable for use only in
premises having a service current capacity equal
