Centrifugal clutch

Assembly

Hold the clutch in a vice as illustrated
and pry the clutch shoe into position.
Assemble the clutch.
Replacing the clutch
drum's support bearings
Dismantle the clutch cover from the
shaft.

Remove the screws (D) and dismantle
the bearing.
Assembly
Position the spring in one of the clutch
shoes so that the connection point is in
the middle of the spoke on the clutch
hub.
Hold the clutch in a vice as illustrated.
Pry the clutch shoe in position with the
help of a screwdriver.
Fit the clutch on the crankshaft in the
reverse order as set out for dismantling.
Do not forget to tighten the screw on
the end of the crankshaft!
Heat the clutch drum using a hot air
gun to aid assembly.
Replacing the clutch
drum's support bearings
Remove both screws (A) and slide the
throttle forwards on the shaft.
Loosen both screws (B) and (C).
Pull the clutch cover from the shaft.
Remove both screws (D) holding the
bearing in position in the cover.
Use a suitable punch and hammer to
dismantle the bearing from the cover.
Assemble in the reverse order as set
out for dismantling.
