Bevel gear, type 2
Dismantling
Remove the bevel gear from the shaft.

Remove the sealing ring on the output
shaft.
Warm the entire bevel gear to approx.
110° C and dismantle.
- fi rst the input shaft
- then the output shaft.
Warm the gear housing further to approx.
140°C and dismantle the small ball bear-
ing for the output shaft.
Bevel gear, type 2
Dismantling
Dismantle the cutting attachment with
respective guard.
1. Remove screws (A) and (B) and lift off
the plate (C).
2. Loosen screws (D) and remove the
bevel gear from the shaft.
3. Prize the sealing ring away from the
output shaft using a screwdriver.
4. Remove the circlip on the output shaft.
5. Remove the circlip (B) on the input
shaft.
6. Remove the grease fi ller plug (C).
7. Remove the vent plug (D).
Warm the entire bevel gear to approx.
110°C using a hot air gun.
8. First dismantle the input shaft by tap-
ping the bevel gear against a wooden
block.
9. Then lift the output shaft off.
Use protective gloves.
Warm the gear housing further to approx.
140°C and dismantle the small ball bear-
ing for the output shaft.
Tap the housing against a wooden block
so the bearing falls out.
