7. Cleaning and maintenance of the
device
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
NOTE: To ensure good cutting performance and prevent pinching, the
device must be cleaned and maintained regularly.
Cleaning the trimmer head
1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch 3 if necessary.
2. Remove any attachment 10/11 currently in place.
3. Clean the trimmer head 1 and the attachments 10/11 using the
cleaning brush supplied.
4. Rinse the trimmer head 1 and the attachments 10/11 under clean
running water.
5. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling them and put-
ting them away.
Oiling the trimmer head
Oil the trimmer head 1...
... if you feel pinching during trimming, or if the trimming performance
deteriorates.
... depending on the intensity of use, but generally after 6 months at
the latest.
1. Switch off the device with the on/off switch 3 if necessary.
2. Remove any attachment 10/11 currently in place.
3. Apply a drop of sewing machine oil to the cleaned blades of the
trimmer head 1.
4. Switch on the device with the on/off switch 3 in order to spread the
oil around.
