1-3-3 Electric problems
If the part causing the problem was not supplied, use the unit including the part for replacement.
Troubleshooting to each failure must be in the order of the numbered symptoms.
Problem
(1)
The machine does
not operate when
the main power
switch is turned on.
(2)
PF paper feed
clutch does not
operate.
(3)
PF paper convey-
ing clutch does not
operate.
(4)
The message
requesting paper to
be loaded is shown
when paper is
present on the cas-
sette.
Causes
1. No electricity at the
power outlet.
2. The power cord is
not plugged in prop-
erly.
3. PF rear cover is not
closed completely.
4. Poor contact in the
AC relay cord.
5. Defective connector
cable or poor con-
tact in the connector.
6. Broken power cord.
7. Defective AC relay
cord.
8. Defective PWB.
1. Defective connector
cable or poor con-
tact in the connector.
2. Defective clutch.
3. Defective PWB.
1. Defective connector
cable or poor con-
tact in the connector.
2. Defective clutch.
3. Defective PWB.
1. Deformed actuator of
the PF paper sensor.
2. Defective PF paper
sensor.
Check procedures/corrective measures
Measure the input voltage.
Check the contact between the power plug and the outlet.
Check the PF rear cover.
Reinsert the AC relay cord.
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
AC inlet and PF heater PWB (TB1, TB2, TB3, YC4)
Check for continuity. If none, replace the cord.
Check for continuity within the AC relay cord. If none,
replace the cord.
Replace the PF heater PWB or PF main PWB (see page 1-
4-8, 1-4-6).
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
PF paper feed clutch and PF main PWB (YC9)
Replace the PF paper feed clutch.
Replace the PF main PWB and check for correct operation
(see page 1-4-6).
Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the
connector cable. If none, replace the cable.
PF paper conveying clutch and PF main PWB (YC9)
Replace the PF paper conveying clutch.
Replace the PF main PWB and check for correct operation
(see page 1-4-6).
