Make sure that the grinding disk is correctly
fitted and secured before you start to use the
tool. Allow the machine to run without load
and in a safe position for 5 minutes. Stop the
machine immediately if severe vibrations
arise or any other defects are noticed. If this
should be the case, examine the machine to
find the cause.
The electric tool must never be used without
the guard hood supplied with it.
Never use separate reducer sleeves or adap-
ters to make grinding wheels with larger holes
fit on the machine.
Take precautions to ensure that flying sparks
do not cause any danger, e.g. that they do not
hit anyone or cause inflammable substances
to ignite.
Always wear safety goggles and ear-muffs;
use other personal safety equipment such as
gloves, an apron and a helmet if necessary.
The workpiece becomes hot during grinding.
Important! Risk of burns!
Let the workpiece cool down. The material may
become glowing hot during the grinding. On
longer jobs, allow the workpiece to cool down
occasionally.
Do not use coolant or the like.
Additional safety rules for cutting-off
machines
Wear safety goggles, a visor, a breathing
mask, an apron, safety shoes, long tight slee-
ves and gloves.
Always check the cutting-off wheel for cracks
or other signs of damage. Replace cracked or
damaged cutting-off wheels immediately.
Always inspect the cutting wheel visually be-
fore using it.
Use the cutting wheel only in accordance with
its intended use and observe the maximum
speed.
Before beginning, check the set cutting depth
and that the stop screw is correctly adjusted
to prevent cutting into the standing surface.
If you are not going to use the equipment for
a long time, you must store it in a dry place.
When you use the equipment again, check
the expiry date of the cutting wheel.
When fitting the cutting wheel, make sure that
it is clamped on the tool hub or clamping face
of the equipment and that the cutting wheel
can run freely.
Never work without a safety hood (cutting-off
wheel guard)

Never use any saw blades.
Before switching on the machine, make sure
that the cutting wheel has been fitted cor-
rectly. Then allow the machine to run in idling
mode for 30s. If you discover any damage or
notice severe vibrations, the cutting wheel
must be changed.
If a great deal of dust is created while working
with the machine, you must make sure that
the ventilation slots are kept free of dust. Use
a small brush for this purpose. Disconnect the
equipment from the power supply first.
Never use the machine in an explosive at-
mosphere or where it could result in sparks,
fire, explosions etc.
Caution! After the equipment has been
switched off, the cutting wheel will continue
to run for a while. Wait until the cutting wheel
has come to a complete standstill before you
remove the workpiece.
Make sure the machine stands securely, i.e.
bolt it to a workbench or solid base.
Never clamp workpieces in the vise which are
too small to be clamped correctly.
If you want to machine workpieces which
extend far beyond the vise, they must be sup-
ported by placing something underneath.
Keep this safety information in a safe place.
