    Hybrid system overview HEV (HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE) SYSTEM The Kia Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) uses both the þasoline enþine and the electric motor ýor power. The electric motor is run by a 270V hiþh-voltaþe HEV battery. Dependinþ on the drivinþ conditions, the HEV computer selectively operates between the enþine and the electric motor or even both at the same time.
