Deep socket wrench (width across at: 16 mm)
Spark plug wrench
Socket wrench set
Analog-type circuit tester

2. Preparation for work

(1) See "1. Safety Precautions" and "2. Preparation for work" of "Basic Operation" in this manual.

3. Ignition coils (with built-in power transistors)

(1) Ignition coil removal and installation (Figure 1)
Remove the harness connectors.
Remove the ignition coils.
(2) Points to keep in mind during installation
Handle the ignition coils carefully. Keep them free
from shock.

Tightening torque

4. Crank angle sensor (Figure 2)

(1) Crank angle sensor removal and installation
Remove the harness connector.
Remove the crank angle sensor.
(2) Points to keep in mind during installation
Coat the O-ring with engine oil during installation
Make sure that there are no foreign materials
adhering to the sensor ange, O-ring, and front cover
areas.
Do not bring close to magnetic elds.
Tighten the bolt after making sure that the sensor is
completely inserted into the front cover.
