    GOLD How it works . . . ① Control module The control module responds to signals from the room thermostat, air pressure switch and boiler limit circuit to operate the boiler circulator, pilot burner, gas valve and inducer. When room thermostat calls for heat, the control module starts the system circulator and inducer. The control module runs the inducer long enough to purge the boiler flue passages, then opens the pilot valve and activates pilot ignition spark.

Install control in supply high temperature limit piping between boiler and isolation valve. Set second control to minimum 20 °F above setpoint of first control. Maximum allowable setpoint is 240 °F.     Boiler Manual Start-up — Determine if water treatment is needed Do not use petroleum-based cleaning or sealing in boiler system. Severe damage to boiler compounds will occur, resulting in substantial property damage. Eliminate all system leaks. Continual fresh makeup water will reduce boiler life. Minerals can build up in sections, reducing heat transfer, overheating cast iron, and causing section failure.
