4.1

Structure

1. Remove the packaging and the transport locks on all
parts delivered.
2. Connect the sensors to the specified slots in the
measuring unit (see Fig. 3).
i
Only connect current clamp 30 A and 1000 A if
necessary.
3. Insert the printer into the trolley (Fig. 1, item 8).
4. Plug in power cord and the USB connecting cable
to the printer. Both cables are provided ready for
connection in the trolley.
i
The printer cartridges can only be used when the
printer is switched on.
4.2

Before starting up for the first time

The voltage supply is provided via the lighting mains.
In the factory, FSA 760 Edition has been set to 100 V –
230 V, 50/60 Hz. Read the information on the sticker on
the side of the FSA 760 Edition carefully.
!
Before starting up, ensure that the voltage of the
lighting mains matches the voltage set on the
FSA 760 Edition. If the FSA 760 Edition is operated
outdoors, we recommend using a voltage source
which is fused by means of an FI circuit breaker.
4.3

Language selection in Windows

After switching the device on the first time, select a
language for the Windows operating system in a menu.
You cannot change this language at a later date.
However, if this is necessary, contact your Bosch
authorized dealer.

Notes on measurement

DANGER – Risk of electric shock if
measurements are taken on motor vehicles
without connecting cable B–!
Measurements taken with connecting cable
B– not connected to vehicle ground or the
negative post of the battery will result in
injury, heart failure or fatal electric shocks.
For all measurements, connect the
FSA 760 Edition by way of connecting
cable B– to vehicle ground or the negative
post of the battery.
DANGER – Risk of electric shock from
excessively high measurement voltage.
The measurement of voltages in excess of
60 VDC/30 VAC/42 VACpeak using Multi
measurement leads CH1 / CH2 will result in
injury, heart failure or fatal electric shocks.
Never use Multi measurement leads CH1 /
CH2 to measure mains or similar voltages.
!
Measurements with FSA 760 Edition are only
permitted in a dry environment.
!
The FSA 760 Edition is not to be used for checking
isolation from the supply on electric and hybrid
vehicles. Measurements on high voltage capacitator
ignitions are not permitted, as voltage values above
300 Volt are present for this ignition type.
!
Measurements on the CRI Piezo are only permitted
with special adapter cables (optional accessories).
!
The measuring probes included in the test prod set
(1 687 010 153) can only be used for measurements
below 30 volt.
