Porcelain Enamel Cooktop (onsomemodels)
The porcelain enamel finish is sturdy
but breakable if misused. This finish is
acid-resistant. Howevea; any acidic foods
spilled (such as fluitjuices,
mmam or
vinegar) should not be pemdtted
m remain
on the finish.
If acids spill on the cooktop while it is hot,
use a day paper towel or cloth m wipe it tap
right away. When tlle surface has cooled,
wash with soap and wama. Rinse well.
For odler spills such as fat spatterings, wash
with soap and wamr or cleansing powdeas
after the surface has cooled. Rinse well.
Polish with a day cloth.
Be sure aft surface units are turned
off before raising the cooktop.
Lift-Up Cooktop(onsome models)
Some models have a cookmp dlat can be
lifted tap for easier cleaning. The enure
cookmp may be lifted tap and supported
in the tap posiuon.
The surface units do not need m be
removed; howevea; you may remove one m
make raising the cookmp easiea. There are
two side supports that lock into position
when the cookmp is lifted tap.
AlYer cleaning under die cooktop Mtb hot,
mild soapy wamr and a clean cloth, lower
the cooktop. Be careflfl not m pinch your
fingeas.
To lower file cookmp, push die rods back
and gendy lower the cookmp until it rests
in place.
NOTE: Donotlift thecooktop on radianttopmodels.

Be sureaft thecontrols are turnedto OFFand the
surfaceunitsare coolbeforeattempting to remove
them.
To clean die surface units, turn die control
mtlle highest setting for a minum. The coils
will burn off"any soil.
Toremove a surface unit:
To remove
the drip pans for cleaning,
the surface
units must be removed
first.
Lift die surface unit about I inch above
die drip pan and pull it out.

Repeamd lifting of die surface unit more allan
1 inch above tlle drip pan can pemaanently
dmnage the receptacle.
Toreplacea surface unit:
Replace the (hip pan into the recess in the
cooktop. Make sure file opening in tile pan
lines tap widl file receptacle.
Insert the terminals of the surface unit
through the opening in the drip pan and
into the receptacle.
Guide the surface unit into place so it rests
evenly.

Built-up soil, espedally grease, may catch fire.
Donotcoverthedrippanswith foil. Usingfoil
socloseto thereceptacle couldcause shock,
fireor damage to therange.
NOTE: Do not dean the drip pans
in a self-cleaning oven.
