1. VOX BUS MAIN connector
This connector is used to connect the VC-12
to a Valvetronix amp or VOX BUS-compatible
device. Use the included 10Base-T "straight"
cable for this.
2. VOX BUS SUB connector
This connector allows you to connect a
second Valvetronix amp or VOX BUS-compat-
ible device to the VC-12 for simultaneous
control of two devices.
Note: Since the second device cannot
transmit control signals to the VC-12, you
must use the VC-12 in order to control both
devices simultaneously.

his section explains how to select
programs, control effects, use the built-
in tuner, use Manual mode, and store
Valvetronix Amp program data in the VC-12.

Channel Select Mode

Channel Select Mode is used to select
programs.
Selecting Channel Select Mode
In Channel Select Mode, the BANK display
shows the number of the current bank. If a
bank number is not displayed, you can select
Channel Select Mode using the following
methods:
• If the BANK display shows
Off mode is selected and you need to
press the CHANNEL–FX ON/OFF switch
to select Channel Select Mode.
• If the BANK display shows
note name, the Tuner is on. Press the
TUNER switch to turn off the tuner and
return to the previous mode. If the BANK
display shows a bank number, you are
already in Channel Select Mode. If it
shows
, you are in Effect On/Off mode
and need to press the CHANNEL–FX ON/
OFF switch to select Channel Select
Mode.
• If the BANK display is flashing, you must
have selected another bank but not yet
selected another program. Press the
CHANNEL–FX ON/OFF switch to return to
the previous mode.
• If the BANK display shows
Valvetronix amp is in Manual mode, in
which case you'll need to cancel Manual
mode on your amp before proceeding.
