8 Intended Use
This product is intended to be used indoors for toilet tasks
avoiding users to walk long distances to the toilet room.
Users are any adults and adolescents with restricted or
limited mobility (e.g.: legs and/or hips). If used without an
assistant, the users must be able to keep their own balance.
Indication
Restricted or limited mobility (e.g.: legs and/or hips) or
having balance issues to stand up or walk due to transitional
or permanent disabilities.
There are no contraindications known when using the
product as intended.
The maximum user weight is 130 kg.
9 Product Description
Invacare Omega H450/H450LA is a toilet chair composed of
four feet, backrest, armrests and seat with toilet opening.
Backrest, armrests and seat are padded with soft material. A
pan can be installed under the toilet opening or the toilet
chair can be used over a standard toilet. The Omega H450LA
has height-adjustable feet.
10 Assembly
Toilet Seat (Fig. 3)
1. Install the toilet seat plate A with the clips B to the
rear frame tube C with an audible click. Place the clips
between the stop screws D and not on top of the stop
screws.
Seat Cover Plate (Fig. 4)
1. If desired, insert the seat cover plate E from above into
the toilet seat opening.

Make sure that both stoppers F on the underside
of the seat plate engage into the opening G of the
toilet seat.
Adjustable Leg Tubes (Fig. 5) (Retrofit Kit 1471013)
1. Remove cap A from the frame tube B.
2. Remove rubber tip C from the end of the frame tube.
3. Insert guide bushing D into the frame tube.
4. Push the adjustable tube E over the frame tube.
5. Position the adjustable tube to the desired height.
6. Insert the height adjustment clip F into the holes of the
adjustment tube and frame tube.
CAUTION!
Risk of Injury or Damage
– Make sure that all four clips are securely
fastened.
7. Repeat the same steps for the remaining three legs.
WARNING!
Risk of Injury
– Make sure that all legs are adjusted to the same
height (Fig. 8).
11 Usage
Inserting/Removing the Toilet Pan (Fig. 6)
The toilet pan A can be inserted/removed with or
without the lid B.
1. Insert the upper rim of the toilet pan A from the side
between the toilet seat plate D and the brackets C
under the seat.
or (in case the user is not sitting on the commode)
1. Fold up the toilet seat D.
2. Place the toilet pan A from above between the brackets
C.
To remove the toilet pan, repeat steps 1 and 2 in
reverse order.
The toilet pan can be lifted and carried by its handle.
Adjusting the Height of the Legs (Fig. 7)
1. Remove the height adjustment clip A from the holes of
the adjustment tube B and frame tube C.
2. Position the adjustable tube to the desired height.
3. Re-insert the height adjustment clip into the holes of the
adjustment tube and frame tube.
WARNING!
Risk of Injury
– Make sure that the clip fully engages through
both holes with an audible click.
4. Repeat the same steps for the remaining three legs.
WARNING!
Risk of Injury
– Make sure that all legs are adjusted to the same
height (Fig. 8).
12 Maintenance
12.1 General Maintenance Information
This product is maintenance-free, provided that the cleaning
and disinfection instructions are adhered to.
