Emergency equipment

Keep the following items onboard in case
there is trouble with the outboard motor.
A tool kit with assorted screwdrivers, pli-
ers, wrenches (including metric sizes), and
electrical tape.
Waterproof flashlight with extra batteries.
An extra engine shut-off cord (lanyard)
with clip.
Spare parts, such as an extra set of spark
plugs.
Consult your Yamaha dealer for details.

One Star—Low Emission
The one-star label identifies engines that
meet the Air Resources Board's Personal

Watercraft and Outboard marine engine
2001 exhaust emission standards. Engines
meeting these standards have 75% lower
ZMU08209
emissions than conventional carbureted two-
stroke engines. These engines are equiva-
lent to the U.S. EPA's 2006 standards for
marine engines.
