RA-200
Thank you for purchasing 90° Angle Spindle, RA-200. RA-200 is designed for drilling on side faces, 
or working on corners difficult to work or unfit for working with straight type spindles. 
Electric  Motor or Air  Motor and Air  Line  Kit  with  Lubricator  combination are  used  to  drive 
RA-200. 
Please read this Operation Manual carefully prior to use.

■Read these cautions carefully and only use in the manner intended. 
■Safety  instructions  are  intended  to  avoid  potential  hazards  that  could  result  in  personal  injury  or 
damage  to  the  device.  Safety  instructions  are  classified  as  follows  in  accordance  with  the 
seriousness of the risk.

RA-200 is not a hand tool. It is designed to be installed in a machine.

Do not touch the tools , motor,or spindle when in operation.
② 
Always wear safety glasses. Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resistant
③ 
lenses, they are not safety glasses. Also use a dust or face mask whenever the
motor is running.
Do not apply excessive force(such as deep single pass cuts or high feed rates) .
④ 
This may cause tool slippage or spindle damage.
Fasten the tool in the chuck firmly before working.

CAUTION
! 
The maximum allowable motor speed for the spindle is less than 20,000min

exceed the specified motor speed by the manufacturer.
The speed reducer is always used to connect between the air motor AM-300

AM-310 and RA-200.
Do not drop or hit RA-200, the shock can damage internal components.
③ 
Always clean the chuck. If ground particles or metal chips stick to the inside of

spindle or the chuck, this will cause damage to the chuck or spindle and loss of
precision.
Do not over-tighten the chuck ,this will cause the spindleÕs damage.

Use tools with high shank tolerance to

Do not use the unbalanced or low quality tools.

Select suitable products or tools for the application. Do not exceed the capabilities

of the spindle or cutting tools.
Stop working immediately if rough rotation or unusual vibration occur.
⑨ 
If the spindle has not been used for a long period of time, in excess of one month ,
⑩ 
start at a low air pressure and run the spindle as slowly as possible. Over a period of
15-20 minutes , raise the air pressure and spindle speed incrementally until you
reach the maximum allowable speed. Check for abnormal noises, vibration or heat.
Check if tools or chucks are damaged before working.

on special purpose machines. 
③A wide selection of collet chucks are available depending on application requirements.

3-2 Dimensions
Connecting the Motor and Spindle
Align  the  threads  at  the  front  end  of  the  reducer 
and  the  rear  end  of  the  spindle  and  turn  the 
spindle  clockwise.    If  the  reducer , s  drive  shaft 
and the spindle , s drive dog do not align properly 
you  will  only  be  able  to  turn  the  spindle  about  2 
turns.    DO  NOT  FORCE.  Turn  the  spindle  back, 
counterclockwise,  slightly  and  rotate  the  spindle 
by hand to engage the drive assemblies and then 
screw  them  together  tightly  and  fasten  with  the 
provided wrenches(20×24).

! 
Always clean your hand and the connection of the Motor and the Spindle.
Prior to mounting spindle on the motor.
