3. Place the item in it's container onto the scale platform to be weighed.
4. Read the weight of the contents on the display. The weight shown will be
the weight of the item in the container, excluding the weight of the container
itself.
If the "hold" function was not enabled, the scale should return to a default weight
reading of zero once the item is removed from the container or box. Press the
0.0
key to reset the weight reading to zero.
Important: Please note the the total weight of the container and its contents should
not exceed the weight capacity of the scale.
Hold Function:

The "hold" function allows the weighing of large envelopes, boxes or other items that
hang past the edge of the platform and block the scale display from being read. Once
the
U
key is pressed, the weight will remain on the display for 1 minute or until
key is pressed again.
1. Place a large item on the scale. Wait until the weight display on the remote
indicates the weight is finalized.
2. Press the 0 key. The "hold" icon will appear.
3. Remove the item from the scale platform. The item's weight reading will
remain on the display.
4. Press the
U
key again to cancel the "hold" function.

United States Rate Chart:
When determining the U.S. postage rate for either Domestic U.S. First-Class Mail
(within the USA) or International Airmail (from the USA to all other countries), roundup
to the next whole ounce if the weight reading is a fraction above a whole ounce
measurement (from 0.1 ounce through 0.9 ounce). For example: a reading of 2.1
ounces is charged the postage amount shown for 3 ounces on the rate chart: or a
reading of 1.7 ounces is charged the postage amount shown for 2 ounces.
