6. Drain the sump by
pulling out the little
hose by the filter cover.
Let the water (maybe
as much as a quart)
drain into a shallow
pan.
Don't pull the hose
out so far you kink it
or the water will not
flow.
Some servicers carry
an old water or soft
drink bottle in their
toolboxes for this
purpose.
