8. Troubleshooting

Symptom

Solution
Check that the link LED on the network switch
is lit, and that the network cable is connected
properly.
Check that the PoE LED on the network switch
is lit. If not, PoE power supply is not working
correctly.
Check that the network cable is category 5e
or higher, and the length of the network cable
is shorter than 100 m.
Do not exceed the PoE power budget of the
network switch when a network switch
connects to multiple units or other PoE
compatible devices.
Check that the network switch is grounded
correctly.
Use MASM-1 running on a PC connected only
on the same segment (same layer 2 network)
to which the MAS-A100 units are connected.
Set the firewall so that communication uses
UDP port 42380.
Or, disable the firewall temporarily when
performing MAS-A100 discovery.
Check the network connection.
