Locking and Unlocking Your
Phone
You can lock your phone manually or set the phone to lock
automatically whenever you turn it off.
To use a locked phone, you must enter the unlock code.
A locked phone still rings or vibrates for incoming calls or
messages, but you must unlock it to answer.
You can make emergency calls on your phone even
when it is locked (see page 67).
Locking Your Phone Manually
M > Settings > Security
Find the Feature
> Phone Lock > Lock Now
Press

enter your unlock code
2 OK (+)
lock the phone
Unlocking Your Phone
Tip: Your phone's unlock code is originally set to 1234.
At the Enter Unlock Code prompt:

unlock your phone
Setting Your Phone to Lock Automatically
You can set your phone to lock every time you turn it off:
Find the Feature
Press
1 keypad keys
2 OK (+)
If You Forget a Code, PIN, or
Password
Note: Your phone's 4-digit unlock code is originally set to
1234, and the 6-digit security code is originally set to
000000. If you forget your unlock code, try entering 1234
or the last 4 digits of your phone number. If that does not
work, do the following at the Enter Unlock Code prompt:

1 M
2 keypad keys
3 OK (+)
If you forget your security code, SIM card PIN code, PIN2
code, or call barring password, contact T-Mobile.
