FRAMING DlMESlONS
The fireplace may be positioned and then the framing
built around it, or the framing may be constructed and
the fireplace pushed into the opening. The dimensions
shown in Figure 8 may be used to construct the
fireplace opening.

STEP 1 : Frame the cavityor opening for the fireplace at
the chosen location (Figure 8). Move the fireplace into
position and install metal safety strips (provided) under the
fireplace as shown in Figure 9.

NOTE: If an Outside Air Kit is not used, proceed to the
next section and continue with installation. Otherwise, the
Outside Air Kit should be installed at this point.
