Detune
By
playing
one
key,
you can
actually
generate
two
sounds
in
slightly
different pitches.
The Detune
function
involves
five
performance
parameters.

the
Detune Range

When
using the
Detune
function,
the
S-220
is
eight voice polyphonic-
To
turn
the
Detune
function
off,
simply
push any
of
the Structure Button.
This
determines
the
sensitivity of
the
Detune
ef-
fect
which
is
controlled
by
Aftertouch
messages,
from
to
127.
*
When
the
Channel Pressure
switch
(explained
on
page
90)
in
the
MIDI
Function section
is
set
to
OFF,
Aftertouch
message
are
ignored,
therefore the
Detune
effect
cannot
be
con-
trolled
by
Aftertouch.
