    SPARK ARRESTER WARNING TO RESIDENTS OF CALIFORNIA AND SEVERAL OTHER STATES Under California law, and under the laws of several other states, you are not permitted to operate an internal combustion engine using hydrocarbon fuels on any forest, brush, hay, grain, or grass covered land; or land covered by any flammable agricultural crop without an engine spark arrester in continuous effective working order.

INTRODUCTION Carefully follow these assembly steps to correctly prepare your machine for use.

    STEP 3: Attach Throttle Control Lever 1. One end of the Throttle Control Cable (H, Figure 2-3) is attached to the engine. Gently unwind the cable from its shipping position and position the Throttle Control Lever (I) on the outside of the right han- dlebar, next to the throttle control decal.

    Height Guide Figure 4-2 USE CORRECT DIAMETER TRIMMER LINE For tougher cutting conditions, use two (or four) sections of the thicker gauge, .155" diameter extra-heavy duty line. For less demanding conditions, use two sections of the thinner gauge, .130" diam- eter heavy-duty line.
