Bearing Housing Replacement

Tools needed:
17mm socket or wrench
9/16" socket or wrench
Adjustable wrench up to 1.5"
7/32" hex key
Retaining ring pliers
1. Follow Drum Installation/Replacement, page 12, to
remove the drum.
2. Follow Drive Belt Replacement, page 21, to remove
the drive belt from the machine.
3. Wait until the FS351 cools off if it has been running.
4. With the Side Plate off the machine, use a wrench to
lock the rotation of the shaft. Using the 9/16" socket
or wrench, remove the screw that holds the bushing
to the shaft.

5. With the shaft rotation locked, use the 7/32" hex key
to remove the two set screws on the drive pulley.
Once removed, insert one of the set screws into the
hole directly above the keyway to back out the
bushing. Remove the bushing and pulley.
6. With the pulley removed, use retaining ring pliers to
remove retaining ring on shaft. Use the 17mm socket
or wrench to remove the bearing housing assemblies
from the frame and from the Side Plate.
7. Reverse steps to reassemble bearing housing.
NOTE: Replace the rubber spring elements at this
time.
