2-4-3. Supported Commands

The DEP-100 supports the following commands.
For more detailed information of each command, refer to
the ISR PROTOCOL manual.
Common Command Description
*RST;
Resets ISR software.
*IDN?;
Requests id-data.
*TST ######; Instruct to execute self-diagnostics.
*TST?; Requests result of self-diagnostics.
*FLAGS?; Requests flag data.
*STATUS?; Requests general operation status.
*CMDERR?; Requests to read command error
queue.
*MSG? #######; Requests error/warning status and
detailed operation status.
Response Description
*ATN: OPC;
*ATN: CMDERR;
*ATN: QRESP;
SONY Private Command Description
HELP: TST?; Requests test menu.
DEVID; device-id Sets device-id.
LDSW TYPE; module Downloads software.

2-4-4. Functions of Commands

* * * * * RST (Reset)
This command is used to reset the ISR processor (soft-
ware).
When reset processing is complete, the DEP-100 returns
"*ATN: OPC;".
* * * * * IDN? (Identify Query)
This command requests the identity information of the
DEP-100.
The DEP-100 returns the following responses.
Manufacturer: SONY
Model: DEP-100
Device ID: Same data as that set for DEVID
command.
(If the device-id is not defied, the
DEP-100 returns "NONE".)
Serial number: Serial number of the DEP-100
(five digits)
Software version: NONE
Virtual machine type: NONE
VM sub-address: NONE
Destination: NONE
ROM: Board name, ROM name,
ROM version number
* * * * * TST ###### (Test)
This command instructs the DEP-100 to execute the
specified self-diagnostics.
Test numbers and descriptions are as follows.
Test No. Description
1 Initial Self-Diagnostics
2 VSW-45 board sense
3 SEC-39 board sense
4 Flash memory
It can be requested these self-diagnostics menus by using
"HELP: TST?" command.
When the self-diagnostics is complete, the DEP-100
returns "*ATN: OPC;".
