INSTRUCTION SHEET FOR AKPA-HW HOT WATER FAUCET FUNCTION
Follow the installation instructions using the main manual. Be sure proper waterline is connected to the brewer and the
water is turned on.
Also, be sure when plugging in the unit that it is connected to the proper size, voltage and
amperage receptacle.
When ready to fill the rear hot water tank use the following instructions:
• On the rear of the unit turn the UPPER on-off switch to the ON position. The water will immediately start to fill the tank.
• The water will continue to fill the tank until it reaches the lower probe (approximately 2 minutes). At this time the water
level in the tank is too low to draw any water from the hot water faucet. Also at this time the thermistor will activate the
tank element and will heat for approximately 10 minutes 30 seconds.
• When the water temperature reaches within 5 degrees of the set point (205F, 96C) the water will again fill the tank
until the water level reaches the upper probe. The tank element will be reactivated and will continue to heat for
approximately 5 minutes. Water can now be drawn from the hot water faucet.
• The temperature is factory set at 205F, 96C. The temperature can be adjusted by turning the gray adjustment knob on
the hot water dispenser board in the direction of the plus or minus (+ OR -) as indicated on the label above the knob.
The maximum temperature is 210F, 99C.
The following pages pertain to the HOT WATER FAUCET FUNCTION of the machine.
The hot water tank portion of the brewer is now ready for use.
