Choosing a place for the printer

The second condition on page 2 is incorrect. Leave at least 30 cm between the back of the printer and the wall.

Unpacking the printer

Steps 1 to 4 on pages 4 to 5 for Stylus Pro 9600 users and steps 1 to 3 on pages 9 to 10 for Stylus Pro 7600 users

have been changed as described below.

1. Remove the roll paper spindle with roll paper, polystyrene foam, and cardboard cushions from around

the printer.

2. Stylus Pro 7600 users should remove the fixers from the sides of the box.

3. Lift the box up and away from the printer. Remove the ink cartridges from the right hollow (A), and

draining cartridge, ferrite core, flanges and roll paper belt from the left hollow (B) on the rear side of the

printer.

Note:

For EPSON UltraChrome ink users, 8 ink cartridges are included. For dye ink users, 7 ink cartridges are

included.

The draining cartridge is used for EPSON UltraChrome black ink replacement.

4. Take out the cardboard panels from the printer.

Page 2 5. Stylus Pro 7600 users should remove the polystyrene foam stoppers under the printer. Mounting the printer on the base unit (Stylus Pro 9600 only) The figure in step 5 on page 6 has been changed as shown below. Fasten the bottom of the printer and base unit with wing nuts, spring washers, and washers.
Page 3 The figure in step 4 on page 11 has been changed as shown below, but the assembling procedure is the same as described in the Unpacking and Setup Guide. Installing the ink cartridges The time required for ink charging has been changed to about 10 minutes. While the Pause light is flashing, make sure to observe the caution at the end of step 7 on page 14, and do not remove the maintenance tank.
Page 4 The units for Paper Feed Adjustment are 0.01%. Roll Feed Spindle 2 inch (High tension / for Stylus Pro 7600) and Roll Feed Spindle 3 inch (High tension / for Stylus Pro 7600) cannot be used with the Stylus Pro 7600. The only high-tension spindle that can be used with Stylus Pro 7600 is the 2/3 inch Dual Roll Feed Spindle, C12C811155.
