    Operation Electric Hotplates To switch on a hotplate, turn the relevant control knob to the required heat setting. The control knob is numbered 0 - 6 0 - OFF 1 - Minimum 6 - Maximum. THINGS TO NOTE The thermostat control light will remain on until the correct temperature is reached. It will then cycle on and off to show that temperature is being maintained.
