Headset Microphones
Sony headset microphones such as the DR-115DP with boom mic or the
DR-140UP with flexible pipe microphone are excellent accessories for
someone who creates a large volume of dictation which will be converted
into text with Dragon NaturallySpeaking software. The mics have both a
3.5 mm microphone plug and 3.5mm earphone plug which connect to the
corresponding jacks on the recorders. Playback is heard through the
headset for convenience.

Corrections and Proof Reading
One of the best features of the Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred is
the selective playback of the original dictation. After the dictation is
converted into text, any word, phrase, sentence or paragraph can be
highlighted with the mouse and pressing the Play icon on the Dragon Bar
the actual recording will be played back in the author's own voice.
Proofreading couldn't be easier.

Using Dragon software with e-mailed dictation
With the new v.2.1 Digital Voice Editor software, e-mail with recorded
dictation can be sent from the originator's location back to the office for
processing in the compressed format. It does not have to be converted
into .wav format. At the office, the attached recording can be saved on the
HDD and then after opening the Digital Voice Editor software just
highlight the file with the mouse and click on the ABC icon and the voice
to print process will begin. There is no need to convert the file manually
from .msv or .dvf before using the Dragon software.
Keep the Dragon Naturally Speaking Software open if more than one
dictation is expected to be converted into text. It saves time not having to
launch the software again.
