Quick Reference 1 Unlocking the fold-down operating panel It is possible to insert or remove the KeyCard and the cassette when the operating panel is unlocked. To unlock the panel press 1, the op- erating panel will fold down. The oper- ating panel cannot be removed. - Page 5 Quick Reference 3 Adjusting the volume Turn the knob to adjust the volume as desired. The volume level selected will appear in the display. When the unit is switched on, it will automatically play at the pre-set volume (ON VOL). It is possible to adjust the ON VOL (re- fer to “DSC programming - ON VOL”).
- Page 6 Quick Reference Press SCA for approx. 1 second (Preset Scan) - You will hear a beep and “SCAN” will flash in the display alternately with the abbreviation for the station being scanned. The radio stations which have been stored on the station keys and which are currently within recep- tion range will be scanned.
- Page 7 Quick Reference SCA (Scan) Briefly scans the cassette titles. Starting/ending Scan: Press SCA. When the function is active, “SCAN” will appear in the display. RPT (Repeat) To repeat the scanned or the next title. The title will repeat until RPT is switched off.
- Page 8 Quick Reference Start Scan: Press SCA. The tracks will be scanned in ascending order one after the other. The scan time can be adjusted (see “DSC programming - SCANTIME”). Stop Scan: Press SCA. The track scanned last will begin to play. RPT - Repeat CD tracks or CDs in the CD changer can be repeated as often as desired.

KeyCard theft protection system This car radio comes equipped with one KeyCard, but it can also be operated with a second card. If you have lost your KeyCard or if it was damaged, you can buy a new one from your specialised dealer. -

DSC programming The car stereo has been equipped with DSC (Direct Software Control) to allow you to customise certain programmable, basic set- tings to suit your personal needs and pref- erences and then store them. The basic settings for this audio equipment were made at the factory. - Page 37 DSC programming LO/DX To adjust the seek tuning sensitivity. “LO” stands for local recep- tion. “DX” stands for distant re- ception. Select “LO 3” if you want to receive strong stations in the local area, select “DX 1” if you want to tune into weaker stations which are further away.
