About this manual

This manual is intended for persons responsible for the installation and operation of a
decoder unit. International, national and any regional electrical engineering regulations must
be followed at all times. Relevant knowledge of network technology is required. The manual
describes the installation of the unit.

Intended use

The video decoder receives and decodes video and audio signals over data networks (Ethernet
LAN, Internet). It displays video from Standard Definition (SD), High Definition (HD), 4K Ultra
High Definition (UHD), Megapixel (MP) cameras, and encoders using H.265, H.264, or MPEG‑4
encoding at up to 60 frames per second. The unit is intended for use within IP video
surveillance systems (VSS).
No other applications are permitted.
